Finally got back from LineCon 08 (Aka Anime Boston). This year they completely botched it, according to them they lost the room they were set up in for registration when the place it was in double booked. A stupid 5 year old beauty pageant for some reason was more important. (This still isn't enough of a reason for the problems)

For those who don't know, the line in the first day had a wait time for some about 10 hours. I was lucky and thought ahead (and wanted to save money) by preregistering. Even then the wait for me was about 3-4 hours, and all my friends were in the regular line. Normally I might be able to go to other stuff while I waited for them, but I had all my luggage with me. One of these friends was the one who had gotten the hotel room.

As my report goes:

Dealers Room: It was moved, but for once the stuff was low priced. There were lots of dealers with DVDs, they knew what the stuff was and were willing to give ideas of whats worth getting instead of whatever the "new hot thing" out was.

Gaming: I stayed away from this, for whatever reason it did not hold the interest It has in the past. One thing noticed was there were a bunch of people playing Army of Two.. but on each game people were playing by themselves. The Live Gaming took up the same room. I had to pass up on the RPGs as nothing really interested me, and when I actually had time to do something.. no one else had signed up. (I need tabletop or good LARP in the Boston area! Help me out here!)

Panels: For the most part.. pretty blah. There were a few great ones though. Bad Anime Bad and Your Favorite Anime Sucks were great.

Main Events: For the most part, these were garbage. Not real funny. But.. One of them was the best. The Pillows! I gotta say, such an epic band. Love and Response opened for them.. but can't say I really liked them. The Pillows put on such a great show, everyone seemed to be loving it, and even came out for an encore when we cheered for it. Not only that, but it was two songs instead of one last one.

Food: Prices has raised, quality has dropped. Luckily there are places not far away one could go for better cheaper stuff.

Cosplay: So many top notch costumes, bravo! Loved the Chell, The Big Damn Heroes, and others.

So yeah. Thats all I have to say on everything at the moment.
